WOW saw that first thing this morning! Really like the M5 hoping you can tell us more about it. Are you restoring it?

Just picked it up, I think someone was going to ratrod it. They put a 283 GM motor with three speed tranny in it. I was thinking of making a sleeper with good suspension, brakes ect but it is in such good shape, not cut up, that I'm thinking of a restoration. I really like the style of the M5 and would never alter the sheet metal.
But dang it I did want something I could drive at highway speeds.

That is not a highway vehicle. But I too like original. There is several Studebaker forums and you could get the original 6 for it. The large 245 commander will not fit without modification. That was in the 2 ton m16.

With a mustang 2 front end with rack and pinion steering and narrowed Ford rear it could be.
I often see original engines on Craigslist that hotrodders are selling. Saw a fresh rebuilt in Ohio when I looked, cheap.
