The twin grand kids are in the 5th grade. They had a school program where all grades sang songs. What could I day when they asked: Pa Pa will you come to our program. Sure, I said. They had some good refreshments also. Stan
 
My twin Grand daughters will be 5 years old in July. They are coming up from Kansas City, and we are going from Cherokee county Ia. and we will meet in Omaha Neb. on Sunday. We will all attend the Henry Doorly Zoo on Monday.

Twin grandkids are a gift from Heaven.
 
Our daughter is 14 and they had the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choirs all singing together last night. For a change they went with what I consider common songs, instead of the usual ones chosen for the arrangement, etc. That meant songs from Motown, and I loved it.

Fun!! Grandkids are great.

If only I could have had grandkids without having kids, that would have been great too.

If only I could have gone straight into retirement after college instead of working all my life. That would been the greatest.

My oldest grand daughter is now a freshman and I've never missed a birthday party or school event. The last school event she was in was the Sound of Music. I shared with her and my boy after the musical that her Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother fled Lithuania at the beginning WWII. Her Great Grandfather was told he had to join the Hitler or be sent to a concentration camp.

When my youngest son was in about the second grade,they took a class trip to the zoo about this time of year. He wanted me to go as a chaperone. I couldn't tell you when I got done planting corn that year,but I sure remember that trip to the zoo.
 
I drive school bus was lucky enough to take my twin grandkids to the zoo last week of school. Mom and Grandma also got to go alone with baby brother. Fun for all, they don't go next year.
