Was busy grinding hay about 1/2 mile from the highway and seen this go by on highway 12 on Friday afternoon, looked it up on the internet today, interesting story.
Picture is off the internet. Tractor is a 48 A with an 84 pete 359 cab.

I seen him go by on Friday afternoon around 2pm in Edmunds County, SD. On his map on his website looks like he was heading south of Aberdeen SD. He updates every few days and takes pictures and tells of what he has seen. Interesting way to see the country, I think he has raised close to 50,000 for the wounded warrior project.

Is that an RV or a Farm Use Vehicle? Will it go fast enough to be run on interstate highways? I'll bet he's been stopped more than once by inquisitive law officials.

Yes I have posted about this here before. I even met him in 2014 when he was passing through Indiana. Check out the website has a lot of info on both of his trips and how the tractor was built. Also has a map to see where the rig is, in real time. He is headed toward Illinois soon and cutting the corner of Minnesota.

Think he said in in of his blogs he travels 14 mph in normal road conditions, if going over mountain passes he would drop down one gear on the uphill run, maybe two in some cases. Can't be many ag tractors that have crossed the U.S. Read where he may be passing thru Arthur, ILL. on his way back home.

neat thing to do for a good cause.

i'm impressed on how they integrated the cab onto the tractor. pretty cool.

would have thought he would have looked for a tractor with special road gearing and or put higher speed gearing into this one. but if you're not in a hurry i guess 14mph is enough.

The last time I seen it was at Rough and Tumble in Kinzers Pa right after he lost it off of a trailer he was hauling it on. Banged it up pretty good. I think he had to start over again ? Any way he is doing a great job now and we wish him well. Did you see the book about the guy from Ohio that drove a JD A to Alaska ? a real interesting story.
