PLOWING FOLLOWUP

A followup after I plowed my neighbors field. The first picture shows them laying plastic mulch. The others show the field in the process of planting. The tomato plants are planted by hand and a bamboo stake put in for every plant. As the plants grow they are clipped to the stakes. A lot of manual labor.

I could never work there, there aren't any rocks. I have more rocks that soil it seams. Good looking stand of maters.

I picked rocks with a guy who called them SLOW FERTILIZER. I didn't count them but there might have been a dozen on that field.

I live just north of the border in the Sunny Similkameen Valley. We are called the fruit stand capitol. There is a lot of ground crop grown but the main crop is tree fruits. Looks like we are finally going to get some summer starting this weekend. http://www.keremeos.ca/

A two row tobacco setter like we use in tobacco country could make short work of setting those tomato plants. Down here you can get a good used one at an auction for $200.

I lost my big tomato patch (12). Seems the neighbor had a rye field 300 feet south of me and he burned it down to plant beans. Got my 12 tomato plants and 4 pepper plants. He is a big time operator so doesn't have time for a garden.
