hay weather

Good weather to bale hay yesterday. Hay was cut and dry. Due to mechanical problems, I was only able to rake the hay, thought it would do to bale today. Cloudy this morning, still mostly cloudy, just checked windrows, damp on bottom. Good old Southeastern hay weather. I'm going to take the rake and try to flip the windrows.

To early to do hay here in Missouri. It will be the middle of June before the hay is tall enough to cut and bale. Some how the cool and way to wet spring has hay a bit slow growing this year

to darn wet here to get the new seeding put in the ground, sure glad we got enough left over from last 2 years to get thru this one.

Got all of our first cutting put up the last two days. May even get corn finished today if rain holds off!

Decided against running the hay rake. Sun came out and there was a little breeze. Baled several bales. Baler had a failure to feed hay. Drove baler to house and got my steel bar persuader to get packed hay out. Was getting too late to finish baling so I parked the baler. Got operator's manual out and read up on adjustments, made some adjustments will have to wait on baler to be empty again to take measurements.(clearance between teeth and starter roller)

Nice green and red tractor and equipment pics above.
