case 211 connecting rod squirt holes?

Dave is correct. I will add that if the pistons were put on the rods incorrectly, they might need to be reversed. Mark on the top forward. Squirt to cam. Jim

What about bearing notches? Do they go together or opposite? I found some of them different. What have I gotten myself into?

hould not be aligned. No matter which way the inserts might try to rotate in the rod, their notch should encounter the rod such as to prevent rotation.

If the bearing notches are mixed up, the caps have been put on backward, who knows if they are even on the right rods.

For safety sake and peace of mind, have the rods reconditioned and new wrist pin bushings fitted.

It's not that expensive considering the alternative.

Are the rods and caps ground and stamped with number and did they align when you took them off, they should.
