1964 ford 5000 Front wheel drive

I have a 1964 ford 5000 gas engine driven tractor that has front wheel drive.. my problem is--the drive system has what looks like a clutch system driving the drive line to the front diff. This clutch seems to be jamming. anyone familiar with this set up. thanks.

That sounds like an Elenco FWA, although I never heard of one on a 5000. Come to think of it I have never heard of a 1964 5000 so chances are yours is really a 4000. Any way the Elencos have that clutch to protect the front components from damage from overpowering. Chances are it needs a new slip disc. Post a Shout Out to Tony Jacobs. He bought out Elenco and can fix you right up.
