Corn planting 2017 (pictures)

Planting corn the past few days. 1586 IH on wilmar 40' spreader, 1466 IH with blumhardt 62' sprayer, 4640 JD on 7200 planter and a 1999 yamaha grizzly 600 with only 800 miles we just got. Most of the neighborhood is putting in beans and done with corn.

Looks good to me! Not just a whole lot has happened here since last fall. One of these days it will stop raining every other day , then all h@ll will bust open , lol.

The only bigger tools I have used around here are my series of mowers. (Lawn mower, bush hog, tractor mounted finish mower, and sickle bar) Yes, I even got the sickle bar mower/tractor out and clipped the taller stuff around the pond!

The only thing I'm using the pickup truck for is carrying around a string trimmer and a shovel.

I'm beginning to think the slow movement of the corn out of the bins may be a good thing. Maybe I'll want to hold some over to have something for next year.

looks a little damp to be no-tillin but I dont know your soil...got enough smoke on that 8-row?.. I pull a 7200 12 row with a 4430
