My best friend of 12 years died tonight. she had been failing
for a month, however she was in no pain till this afternoon. vet was kind enough to take care of her tonight Some of you who know me knew her. She was 12 years
old yesterday. Realize some think this is nuts, however I sincerely believe that Christians will be reconciled with their companion animals later. For now just an old man holding his departed buddy with tears rolling down his face.

My sincere condolences offered, I know exactly how you feel. Loss of a faithful pet is every bit as painful as loss of a family member. I've been there.

I'm sorry. We share same boat, tonite we lost a tiny but spunky 16+ yr old cat. May your Peaches and our Mia and all who have gone before have peace, and may your pain be eased with the many memories.

For such an unconditional, always available love as dogs give us, tears are assuredly appropriate!!!

Will we see our pets in Heaven? I don't know...

If we do, great! But if not, it won't matter, God will not allow any sadness to come between us and our love and praise for Him!

I think the older we get the more we feel the loss. but I cant imagine being without a dog.

Been there. My best friend chase a 84 lb Weimaraner was 13 when we discovered he had cancer.Since he was a large dog the vet asked if we could put him on the table with a blanket under him so he would be easy to handle after he was put down.I replied that no I would sit in the chair with he in my lap and I would carry him home to be buried. She ,her assistant and I all had tears as I left. Miss him every day for the three years it happened.Tried to replace him but wasn't the same and gave the replacement away after a year.

A very good friend belives in reincarnation. They lost a dog and got another. They used the same bowl to feed the new dog in the same place. The new dog would act defensive and run away from the bowl. So they put up the old bowl, put down a new one and everything was okay from then on. Think that over.

My wife can think about our cat and he will come into the room from being in the other end of the house.
