I posted this on your reply to the "question for old" this morning but I guess you didn't see it.
What does that rust remover look and smell like? I've been using Evapo-Rust and suspect it's the same thing. Same jug, different label. Never tried it on aluminum. It's not good as a penetrant but takes rust off steel real good.
