Accumulator on hay tedder.

I am having trouble with the hydraulic system on a 163 new Holland redder. It raises and tilts back fine, but when you let it down it does not want to tilt down. When I apply my weight to the front and get it tilted down and I am operating it, if you hit a bump just right it will tilt back and not pick up any hay. Does this sound like the accumulator gone bad? Or could the seals in the cylinder be bad? It tilts it up fine to fold it up. Any ideas? Thanks Nathan.

An accumulator is there just to take the shock/jolt out of the hydraulic system. It shouldn't have enough volume to lift and tilt it back up I may be wrong because I don't know what size accumulator you have on it.

#1. I would think your lift cylinder is leaking past the cylinder piston.

#2 I would reverse your hoses where you plug them into the tractor and see if you have the same issue and if it goes away it's in your hyd
control valve.

Is that a 1 way cylinder (1 Hose) If it is you may have a little leakage in your remote. Try switching the hose to the other port and see if that makes a difference, The New Holland tedder I run for a friend does not have an accumulator. Pictures Help.
