The wife is county supervisor and yesterday was her day at the courthouse so Son put me in the 8760 to finish field cultivating. Usually I plant the beans while he plants the corn but with the trouble we had last year with sudden death in the beans son wanted to wait a little bit. So here is a view from the seat, we pull a old 42 ft. 1050 or 1100 not sure Deere with a 7 section drag behind it. The strips are 120 ft. so it takes 3 passes per strip. I can't prove it but a fence post or a tree must have jumped out in front of me for I bent the hell out of the bar on the harrow. So that was my first job this morning. Was working yesterday and the windows on the tractor were starting to get speckled--knew right away I had a hole in one of the hoses on the lift. It didn't take long to make it a black machine. The picture of the buildings is where I grew up-used to milk Holsteins in that barn .The picture out of the right window is one of my favorites--the wife taped pictures of the grandkids on the inside--says it makes the day go faster--I agree. That's all----Tee

Brother is pulling 60ft. of field cultivator for his tenant. They had a couple of different guys work for them when brother was not available. One drove the JD trac tractor head-on into a drainage ditch. Took two heavy duty wreckers to winch it out. The other guy dropped one end of the field cultivator down into that drainage ditch and tore it up. Now they only hire my brother to run their equipment.
