white 2-135 narrow row

going to plant corn this year on 30" rows. I will use my 2-135 white but if I narrow it up it will be too narrow for baling hay. could just move them back out. read some posts about guys running 90" centers with drawback of draw bar being right over the middle row with 3 rows going under tractor. those posts also talked about planting in hard ground. I don't get that, the tire would still run between rows on 60" or 90" centers wont it??

We bale with tires set for 30" rows. Don't know of anyone in area doesn't have tires set in. Most bale with duals.
