Don't laugh, I couldn't do this again if I tried. My 135 Massey Ferguson was stuck in gear and I had the fill cap off and was moving the gear to free it with my mini-mag flashlight in my mouth.I dropped it, it bounced, and went right down in the hole and to the bottom. Any ideas on how to get it out???? My only one so far is to get a good extension magnet and try to find it. Ant suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Norm

Drain the lube, wait a couple days for everything to drip out, then get a light and
a little camera on a cable (amateur colonoscope) and a parts grabber.

If it is still burning , it will be easier to get it.

I would try a piece of 1/4" copper tubing, so it can be bent to position.

Double a piece of steel wire, like guitar string, or maybe heavy fishing line, make a loop out the end of the tube, bring the ends out the top of the tube, try to lasso it.

Did same thing, ended up draining fluid, once I located it used a mechanical fingers to pick it up. Magnet won't do it!!!

I bought camera with a 3 ft flex extension, light on the end, from HF. Good thing to see inside a spark plug hole.

Hello Norm Wampler,

Get a length of house wire, and make a hook. The head is bigger then tbe body. But you will need a little luck. Post back if you get it.

Guido.

Geo that is one thing I agree with you on whole Hartley, Best 65 bucks I ever spent, I think that was what it cost on sale but for use ever now and then it is a life saver. Use a 25% off coupon and thing sure is worth the cost.

Even if it's sealed, there probably isn't enough air inside the case to make it float. Use the strongest magnetic tool you can find and do some bottom fishing before you drain all of the fluids. You might just get lucky.

I bought mine at HF's tent sale 50% and coupon and it was around your price. I needed mine to see inside the throttle plate of Kaw mule without taking it apart. I was able to see what I needed, drill a small hole to clean throttle plate and saved me a lot of time taking it apart. Well worth the money it saved me in time alone. Not to mention, I'll have to do it in future and now it will only take minutes.
