Finally got my 1030 running

Finally finnished the mechanical part on my 1030! She got a complete engine rebuild, clutch, brakes, and wiring. Needs a good cleaning which I'll give her tomorrow, and it will need tires real soon. Hope to get to try it out some tomorrow.

The left side is very rotted and has a boot in the side wall. The right side was near new when it went into the shed 25 years ago, but sat low on air and down in the dirt and is rotted where it was in the dirt. I'll be surprised if they survive spring planting.

With the attitude that they could go at any time. They will probably surprise you. I have one that sat in a barn 13 years, deep lugs, but my oh my the cracks in those tires. They been on several tractor rides. Still rolling still holding air. ya never know. gobble

UGH!
I just got rid of a 70, and a 60 year old tractor, and bought a 40 year old. Didn't use the 70 year old any more. And the 60 year old was hard on my aging body. Thing is, they had new tires and rims on them! My new purchase is like yours. Tires look pretty good. Some tread wear. But up close there are deep cracks, with threads sticking out. AND, they're full of calcium chloride!
