mismatched tires on a TEA20???

Hi.. I have an old TEA-20 that has one good tire and one severely worn down tire on the back.. both are 11.2-28. Just bought a tire on a rim at an auction today that is 12.4-28. I was not aware that 11.2 and 12.4 resulted in different outer tire diameters... thought it only had to do with the width of rim. I was wondering if this mismatch in outer tire diameters would cause damage to my tractors differential??
Thanks..

It would take hundreds of thousands of hours of running it to hurt any thing. And even then your still not likely to ever hurt a thing and the tractor would be worn out before there would be much if any harm

I had a JD 4010 with the exact same problem. Had a heavy FEL as well as a VERY heavy 3-pt backhoe when needed. Used it in snow, mud and dry grasses without a problem.

I would think old is right in that there will be "some" amount of wear-N-tear, but also agree that it'll probably take a long time. For me it was mostly a mental problem.

I wouldn't take it on one of those over the road tractor rides any longer than twenty miles, but in normal use you would never have a problem.

So, I have a IH 300 with a loader on it. Many years ago previous owner put on different size rears. The loader edge wear is on an angle now. I
replaced the tires and now the loader only cuts on an angle. Kinda a pain if scraping snow, manure, etc.
