I have 15.5x38 on a Farmall 560 now that aren't that great but I have a set of 18.4 x 38 and they are looking pretty good anybody think I can squeeze Them on the rims any negative effects to this looking for opinions. Tractors used mostly for mowing and using the bucket on the front doesn't see fieldwork.

Squeeze will be the operative word especially if the tires are old and stiff.

My experience was shoehorning a pair of 13.6x38 radial Michelins on to 10" wide rims. That was an epic wrestling match complete with lots of cussing and flying tire irons. It was also before I bought my bucket of "astroglide" tire snot.

You will need some good rubber lube such as the stuff they sell at NAPA or you might get it at a local tire shop. Dish soap AIN'T slick enough. Tried it 30 years ago when i went into the farm tire business. Go for it. Might wanna get some 18.4x38 tubes, I doubt the 15.5 tubes will stretch that far and not split the seams.

I'd try selling the 18.4 38s and buying back a pair of used 15.5 38s or 14.9 38s or 16.9 38s instead. You might come out money ahead.

Neighbor put 18.4-38s on his 560 and ran it for years. He also turned it up to 84 hp and welded the fast hitch drawbar assembly to the axle housings. He used that 560 for the big jobs his 4020 couldn't handle!
