Anyone good at Roosa Masters

I figured I'd fire up the old Case sense it hasn't ran sense fall. When I fired it up no mater how I changed the throttle it wouldn't change idle, I let it run for about 10-20 mins and the rpms still didn't change. So I shut it off and figured I'd try it another day then it wouldn't start at all, but if i spray some either in it it'll fire right up until either is used up. This happened last year and I was pretty busy at the time so I didn't try to work on it so I sent it over to a place that rebuilds them and it worked until this past week.

Pop the top off via the three small screws. Look inside and see if the metering-valve is stuck. It is what
makes the throttle work and it is right there on top and easy to see and work on.

Maybe clean it up a little it before you start taking it apart- pumps need to stay really clean inside or your troubles will multiply.

If the engine idled ok and runs smooth but there no throttle response- then it is possible the metering-valve
is just stuck. It is what makes the RPMs change when you hit the throttle. It is easy to get to and easy to
see.

whole lot depends on where your at. I know a good place in Jeff City here in Missouri but if your a long ways form here there are places closer

yes i popped the top off and the metering vavle isn't moving with the throttle. Do I just clean it or do I need to tear it apart and get a new one, is there a special way to clean them.

This just happened to me. Can you choke it out. Mine was stuck open. I couldn't kill it or throttle it but it would run. It was the little chock metal piece had popped off the rail it fits in and was not pushing anything. Clicked it back in, fired back up and running good. Hope it helps. When you mess around in there you will half to adjust low and high idle stops.
