Been a long time since I got one of these. 3720 lbs over on the trailer tandems. If the online table is correct it will cost me some over $500. Hopefully it's not like Illinois where it's $1.00/pound. The kicker is it takes 5 days to 4 weeks for them to give you the official amount to pay, but you only have 30 days to pay. Guess I'll be more careful for a while again.

Neither, just didn't slide the tandem right
and didn't do a cat scale. Used to be I
could get close enough with just the Gage on
my truck since dart bought new light
trailers. But these P+G loads they have been
getting closer to 80k now, this one is over
79,000 with 1/2 tank of fuel so I should
have scaled it. Just got sloppy. Most P+G's
have a scale onsite so I don't need a cat
scale.
 
Feel yer pain, When moving down to Oregon from Washington with my excavator on a 3 axle lowboy I was stopped at the POE.

Everything was good except I had 10 ply tires on one axle. was 700lbs over weight for the tire rating. Moved the machine up a few inches slid 5th wheel, could not get rid of that weight.
Had to unload and leave it there until I could get someone to move it.
 

They used to call that a misload around here so long as you were not over legal gross. (lesser fine than over gross)

Our multi axle trailers did not have a slider so once we we loaded our only possibility was to slide the fifth wheel.
 
I have no idea why that post would get poofed, I'll have to ask. I got an over weight ticket for my trailer tandems being 3720lbs over. If the online info is correct it should coost a bit over $500.
 
You got poofed again. It did come up on modern view. Several years ago I was running an LTL shuttle from St. Louis to Nashville, Tn. Manifest said something like 27000#. Didn't see any reason to scale it. Got to St. Clair (Il ) scale and pulled around back. Very heavy on 45' trailer tandem. Slid it all the way back and still over. Appeared that the several barrels of chain on the back was much heavier than stated on the b/l. Ended up having to hand transfer several barrels to another trailer to get legal. Had to pay fine on spot. Fortunately, company accepted responsibility for that one.
