Can some of you give me price for what grass feed beef cost done and packaged burger and a few steaks Feed hay and and a few potatoes
Trying to figure out what to charge .Dont have the bill for slaugther weight 1330 walk on scale should finish 750 i hope.
 
I'm currently marketing my herd, asking $3 per pound hanging weight. Our butcher charges $40 per head slaughter fee and $0.53 per pound for butchering. Mine are fed ground corn and hay and on pasture. Having trouble moving them all this year, usually have a waiting list.

500-700 Steer/bull live wt. $133 (hundred wt.) - $148; Heifers same range $120-133.

Smaller more, larger less.
 
Thank for the help she was first time calfing didnt take care of the baby ,i tried for three days thought all was good still lost it.The last steer we buchered we sold for 5.00 a pound .
 
I had that happen only once and on a Brangus which are great mothers. Only thing I could figure was that there was something wrong with it and she knew it, I didn't/couldn't recognize it. I didn't chance a second try since she was a first time heifer. She went to the sale barn which may or may not have been a mistake. Who knows.
