It's nice having unlimited internet...

Besides getting to check out Victory Parkway that Ultradog posted about, am also listening to a live auction right now. There's 2 rings and can both watch and listen in real time. Is really cool! For anyone else who might be interested in listening along, it's at www.resourceauction.com and I think this is in Grand Forks, ND. LOTS of semi trucks, but ring 2 is selling implements right now and will have tractors coming up later.

New Verizon thing. Apparently they decided to change from data limits to unlimited just recently, and it only cost $4/month more than what we were paying for 6-gig limit. First 10-gig now is supposed to be at 4G speeds and then 3G after that, but the best we can hope for is 3G!

Keep your landline phone and use them for Internet.

Be on a cable tv system and use that.

Fall into a marketing gimmick and can get unlimited for short periods of time from cell plans or broadband plans.

we switched last month to the unlimited plan. One of the boys went over his 10 gig watching basketball and it never did slow it down.

We can't get land line here. All we've had is Verizon cell. For the first 8 years or so we practically had to stand on our head in a south-facing window just to get a signal. We were using a bag phone to get a signal when many people were buying up smart phones!!

Well, we're pretty happy with this new gov't repeater tower, paid for with tax $$$. It must me made available to public use, but with emergency communications taking priority.

Our nearest cellular tower is 30 miles away!

Little old New Market, Iowa, way down in the hills of southwest Iowa, has had unlimited internet for quite a few years now, and the internet provider is in the process of hooking everyone up to fiber-optic. If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere. Only thing holding it back is greedy, balky internet providers.

I've been streaming movies for about 4 years now and it will only get better.

Local phone co. brought in fiber optic several years ago. Problem was, we couldn't prove that this house ever had land line, so they wouldn't extend it out here. The line is more than a mile from us as the crow flies. However, we're the only house out here, so they would have charged us to run the line here. We just don't use a phone enough to justify their costs.

Is nice having a cell phone for the long hauls to and from town, as not many folks up here.

We cannot get DSL here. We cannot get land line phone, unless we want to pay the phone company lots to bring it out this far. The ONLY phone we have is cellular through Verizon, and they recently added on an unlimited data plan. And if it weren't for the gov't repeater tower, we'd still be having to stand on our heads in the window just to get a cell signal. So the internet is celluler.
