You might ask,why I didnt get one of my Dads tractors,,my brother and I get along very i could have ,,but I saw my Ford in the woods broken down at a job i was on.I made the guy an offer. My brother fixed it up for me,,and I painted it .I was happy with that,,and the tractors stayed right at home where they always were .i do say,,my brother and nephew do like to collect! lol

The Ford has a nice set of pie wts.....those are getting hard to find. Also, looks like a
nice old popper in the back of the shed, can't tell if it's an A or B. There is a little bit
of everything, for sure.

Thats a b with a single front wheel,it was my dads, but it was rough,he bought it cheap. My nephew fixed it all up,,hes a nice young man, around 30 now,he loves to collect stuff,as you can see

I would be interested in the fire truck but, it looks like they collect and do not sell. I probably too far away any way.

Geezzz, Larry, It appears to me that your brother has a rather poor business plan. (Buy it, park it, and watch it rust), rather than (Buy it , fix it and sell it). Those critters must be a real profit center to support the rest of his enterprises.

That's not collecting. I call that insecurity. He sees it he has to buy it. No plan. There's a man in our neighborhood that does the
same thing. Has a son too. The old farm house burned down so now the son has been building a 2 story house there for the last 3 years
and doesn't even have siding on it yet. His dad lives with his girl friend a few miles away and has trashed that place too. My wife and
I had a talk tonight at the supper table after I saw my favorite commercial about scrap gold. I never knew there was such a thing as
"scrap gold". The TV commercial wants to buy gold jewelry and they say, "Isn't money in the bank better than scrap in the drawer?" So I
said to her what is scrap. It's something that had a purpose but you have no need for it anymore. Just like an old trip plow. Many have
been hauled away for scrap. No one needs them but they still want them. I think in your brother's case he doesn't see the trash but it
makes him feel safe or secure. He's got the little boy syndrome and never cleaned up his room.

He probably has a plan, get the stuff for next to nothing and sell some a long. You'd be surprised how much money a person can make off stuff like he has.About every guy I know with a place like that can pull out a wad of cash to pay for something.

IF International doze parts were like they were 20 years ago he would be rich but unfortunately when those old dozers brake now folks just junk them. Sure has some good parts. BUT they are just scrap iron if you can not sell them.

Are these new pics? I know you have posted pics of his place before. Does he charge admission? I'm sure I could spend hours looking around there.

Looks like a great tourist spot to me, Larry! I love that JD L or LA hidden in the shed.
I can still hear the put-put of those engines. Thanks for posting.

At least he has something nice and heavy to hide behind when Larry shows up chucking those turnips at him!!

Lots of neat items in there. Glad the whole family likes to tinker with projects, a great way to stay connected, and keep the family heirlooms together.

About a decade ago I drove my brother over to his church and setting outside on the back of the property was a rusty, weathered, setting outside Ford 4000. Looked like it had set there for years untouched when I saw it. There just wasn't any reason for that. Had potential for someone that wanted one or it, but I wasn't interested. Turns out the church deacon borrowed it from his brother down in Kentucky, trailered it up to use for bush hogging the acres. As I understand it, after a couple of years of telling him to bring it back down to its home where he borrowed it from, the southern brother had enough and brought a trailer up to take it back. When he saw what his deacon brother did to it, let happen to it, he took it back down and they haven't spoken since.

His farm must be south of me cause there's a lot more ground showing, the snow ain't melting that fast here. Have to show these photo's to my wife and tell her, see I'm
not the only one. Thanks for posting got some neat stuff there.

I'm thinking a bit of a hoarder.
A farmer in Indiana took 50 years trashing his property, before Indiana Department of Environmental management stepped in and told thim he had to clean it up. IDEM told him anything with an engine that doesn't run you have to get rid of it.

I didnt measure the shaft for the hiller,I couldnt get the barn door open in Pa without a lot of shoveling,I should be able to measure it soon.

I will tell you a true story..you have seen my Ford 2000.When I found it at an older fellows property sitting in the woods, the old fellow told me it wont start. He said he had three mechanics look at it .Also his son in law,,who he said was a crackerjack mechanic. The man said I want 2000 dollars for the tractor,a ford disc harrow,a ford 2 bottom plow with trip back shares,a brush hog,and the single three row cultivator.I called my brother and described the tractor to him,and it had 1000 hrs on the meter. He said buy it,even if it wont run youll come out ok. We went to get it with his truck. He brought a comealong to tow it on the trailer, but also, some gas,a battery, his toolbox, etc. In 20 minutes he had that tractor running,I drove it on the trailer. Then he helped me fix it all up,,and I painted it. His first little trac loader he bought when he was 18.It was in pieces and I helped him carry some baskets of parts too! He got that running, traded it up to a JD 450 that didnt run ,got that running, traded again for a better one that didnt run, sold that...Most of the stuff he has he didnt buy,,he traded and he has sold many parts over the years which you or I would call junk,,,believe me.He found a part of a Caterpillar in the scrap yard,,bought it,,sold it for 800 dollars two days later,,,thats not some dumb is it?

TV show "Pickers" would have a field day at his place. Wouldn't know where to start the bidding. If each could tell it's story.
