Now that I have the time and money I wish I wasn't 70. But then again I'm glad I am 70. I know where there is a '56 Ford Custom Deluxe, 292 cu. T'Bird, dual exhaust out
the bumper, blue on blue and very little rust but ....... I can do tractors but at this point I'd have to hire someone to crawl under it! Can anyone else identify?

Why is it more painful to get down there than getting back up? At least it is for me. By the way, nice pictures Larry. In my neck of the woods old trucks like that are long gone except for a few stragglers.

Same here, only tractor i have now is a Kubota Grand L series as it got to hard and less fun to work on or work with the older ones. Will have to pry my 52 chevy pu out of my old hands though.

Falling is not a problem. It is the sudden stop at the end of the fall that is painful. I hit the deck on ice about 3 weeks ago and lucky I curled up mid-fall. I landed flat on my back and had tucked my chin in my chest and didn't hit my head. I did end up with stiff front neck muscles and a little pain in my upper back above my shoulder blades. A lot better than some people I know who have fallen. One chiropractor visit and I have been good since then. It could have been much worse! Sorry if I strayed off the topic!

Larry,

EXCELLENT!! Thanks for posting these rusty ol' trucks and tractor.

You're giving me spring fever for a junkyard. LOL
Just need to find a reason to get to one this spring or summer.

I especially like the rusty/lichen covered International 210 with the winders busted out.
(Too bad the winders are busted out... but really cool looking truck.)

Thanks again!

Before I get down now, I attach a tie-down strap to something so I can grab the strap to help myself up. Works for me.

Larry,
Are you becoming a junk yard dog hanging out in a salvage yard
with a camera? I'm surprised those weren't scraped out years ago
and sent to China when the prices were up.

When I worked in St. Louis from 1980-1996 we had 8 IH R-190 trucks. I don't know how folks drove them years ago but they never knew
better. We added power steering to them. Talk about a Basic Truck that's what they were.
