I am currently looking to identify an engine, it is not in the original truck and I have very limited information but if theres anyone on here who might be able to help with the info I do have thatd be amazing! So im almost certain its an
IH engine
6 cylinder gas
used to be orange or red in colour
distributer is on the right side
carburator is downdraft
firing order is 153246
and on the side of the block it read "IH126H" and also written on the block is 215720-R1
that is all of the info I have!
 
Sounds like the engine in my friends truck I let him store on my place.
It is a 1955 1 ton IH that his father bought new.

Engine numbers stamped on right front corner of block right below the head. Does it have the tall distributor up by the valve cover? What size truck is it in?
