As of 1:30 pm we have 23 inches of snow. Weather person says 3 or 4 more coming. I don't mind the snow, it's the winds I don't like.

I put my blade on December one. I haven't used mine only once in three years. That was last year. Some people get all the fun pushing snow.

Normally I don't mind getting dumped on, but am glad we didn't get the 2" to 4" they were predicting. Only got about an inch. Come Spring thaw, gonna be a battle trying to keep the driveway from washing out this year. Culvert is frozen solid and it will thaw long after the ditches do.

The 12" to 18" the predicted didn't happen though I just got done removing 8" of heavy wet sh!t form the driveway and my neighbor's.

My daughter lives just outside of Tunkhannock and she thought there were possibly 2 different slides. There may be more as time goes on. There are some steep ledge outcrops that are very close to the road.

What is this ......SNOW... you talk of? Here in southern Kansas we had, I think, 2" back in December. If you have any extra PLEASE send some my way. Too dry around here.

Hey Sweetfeet, not that uncommon around here. One winter we had 24" for Christmas and 36" New Years. SIL is a little over an hour away we were there once for a 52" snowfall all in one day and drove home that night. Also at SIL about 5 years ago they had 7 feet in 2-3 day period, numerous buildings collapsed in the area(their fabric shelter collapsed, they couldn't move snow fast enough), I was in the area right after the snow and saw 5 buildings collapsed in a short distance.

sms,

Sheesh, that's crazy! I cannot imagine dealing with any of those snowfall amounts. I can't see how anyone has room to push/pile that much snow out of the way.

We've had a few good snowfalls like over a half-foot and one over a foot this winter but with the warm streaks mixed in, the snow has literally melted away between storms.
