Going Orange is Great

Yesterday in the March snow I killed some time watching old tractor promotionals. I came across one from AC that had me confused. I don't have the savvy to link it here so any help is appreciated. It's on YouTube as "1969 Allis Chalmers Dealer Movie Going Orange is Great". I like Allis. Heck, I owned a D-17 and still have an early WC, but this little movie left me confused. I was waiting for the sales pitch. Then I was waiting for the punchline. I didn't get either one.

That was the movie they showed at out branch sales meeting to introduce the "Going Orange is Going Great" sales promotion. We were given a quantity of different materials, pendants, posters, and stickers of various diameters. They were primarily orange, but many were in various colors, quite a few were orange and purple. I used to hand out a lot of stickers to the kids, particularly the 3" diameter ones. The kids liked to stick them up various places; some of them took a delight in putting them on any green piece of equipment that they could get to.

I don't know that it helped sales so much as added some color to our promotion material. As I remember, the kids had the most fun with it too. If I handed sticker to kids at a county fair, it didn't take long before they were up all over the place!
