I ordered some clevis pins, and cotter pins, for my mower from Mcmaster carr around 8:30 this morning They were delivered to my house at 3:00 this afternoon. I thought that was good service. They are located east of Los Angeles, about 120 miles from me. Do any of you buy from them? Stan

That is outstanding service, I have used them a lot, but from their Chicago location. Next day to Michigan is pretty common. Good outfit!!

Ordered something last week, about 3:00PM, got it the next morning!

Don't know how they do it!

In other news, a guy sent me a first class letter from central Kansas, it only took 8 days to get to me in western Washington. I think the Pony Express was faster than that.

Yes indeed.

I "discovered" them when I was doing plant maintenance in a cannery.

Since I retired, I've been pleasantly surprised to find that they provide the same service for my $10 order as they did for the $1000 orders I made at the plant.

We use them at work all the time if you order before 4m you will get it the next the morning and delivery is usually around 10:am. Good people I ordered 2 24" 3/8 drive extensions but only 1 arrived I contacted them and let them know and they sent me the other one with no questions, had it the next day.

Haven't ordered from them in a long time, but I know they were even great 30 years ago. McMaster-Carr is huge and back in 80's they provisioned NASA's Space Shuttle tracking stations around the world.

Quite often at work, bought a bunch of small clevis pins too recently. Order up to 6PM, from their location in NJ, UPS ground delivers it the next morning. It is good service for sure. You can also import their C.A.D. drawings and use in your design work. Their catalog is great with the diagrams that you can print with all the details and part numbers.

I have nothing but good to say about them. Always in stock, always fast, always good to do business with. I know what I want and don't waste their time, they are an industrial supply and expect when you call you know what you are ordering. The few times when I have had a technical question that wasn't covered in the catalog the answer was fast and accurate.

I buy from them quite often. They can be beaten on price, but if you want something from stock, they cannot be beaten. And they usually carry good quality stuff.

They also cannot be beat for shipping costs. I get a discount with UPS, but they always beat what I can ship something for. And almost always next day service from their New Jersey warehouse, even orders just before 6:00 PM.

I used them when I worked In Phoenix and would get the order the next day. To get the order were I live in Tonopah it takes 2 day but that's still good.
they have all of that hard to find items that your hardware store, automotive store or industrial supply don't have.

used to get stuff from them all the time. Still do IF i need something.

VERY almost crazy fast service. sometimes the only place you can find things too. somethings are a good deal price wise, others not so much.

i got the "clip nuts" that go into the square holes in the sheet metal on my CASE 800 from them as most of the ones on the case were too rusted, missing or stripped out. had trouble finding them other places. wish they had them in stainless. IF there is such a thing.

I've bought from them since the 1960's, first as a industrial maintenance mechanic, then the last 15 years as a retired guy fixing up old farm machinery and I think they have more of the hard to find stuff than anyone else and are usually not far out of line in their pricing......Deliverys are always as promised.

I live in NE Minnesota and have used McMaster-Carr out of Chicago quite a bit. I used to be able to get the order by noon the next day. They were shipping via " Speede Freight" Then they switched me over to UPS. Now it comes between 2 and 3PM the second day. I voiced my displeasure with their new shipping procedure but they said that's the way it is. Other wise I like McMaster=Carr.

I collect antique gas engines and related equipment. Most parts have to be made and a lot of the materials such as leather belt, bakelite, pheonolic, etc. are not easily found at the local hardware or farm/fleet store. Mcmaster Carr has it all with great prices!! Two day shipping to boot!! I don't know what I would do without them!!

I've bought hardened stainless steel balls from them for my ramp ball disc tractor brakes and some eye type bolts for the IHC cultivator support stands.

I ordered crocus cloth on Sunday and got it on Wednesday. First time I used them and happy so far. See if I still am after I get the bill.
