Not a bad deal. Pretty straight. I'd like to find one that I could build in to something unusual. Narrow front,6.00 front tires,13.6 38 rears and clamshell fenders. It'd be a nice conversation piece.

Spin out wheels looking through the build sheet didn't see them as an option. Hydra power was a 343 dollar option and the fast coupling three point was 21 dollars more. Its a nice tractor but also interesting is the dash two different colors on top and bottom makes you wonder if it was a touch up or repaint.
The spin out would be nice using it on a mounted picker

Just got off the phone with the guy, "SAYS" his dad bought it new. Original paint and the wheels came on the tractor. Says it starts and runs perfect and has no leaks. What shoul I offer him, never had an oliver and they do not sell well here but guess the kids could always have it when I am gone. You say no hydro power, is that like a ih ta, hi/lo . Does not having it help the value or hurt it. Thinking I may go look tomorrow afternoon

There a nice all around tractor . I like mine go to tractorhouse and get production dates so you can tell the year. Hydra power is similar to ta except its wet and does the same as ta freewheels down hill. One thing i would be careful with is if it has a high speed transmission if your not used to it that might spell trouble.
Price to me seems in the ball park.

I like mine, too. When you check the serial no. the last three digits are the transmission code. xxxxxx-502 will be the high speed, -504 is standard. Only 5th and 6th are faster, 1 thru 4 are actually a little slower. High speed on 16.9-38s is 20+ mph in 6th.

Good looking 1550 but in my opinion on the high side but probably worth it if you want it.For reference I have a 1550 gas paid $2000 spent $700 on a few things and is in good shape with the set back front end.Bought a 1600 gas utility at auction last Fall $2200 baled hay with it the next day good tires, straight sheet metal.I'd be trying to be a buyer on that one at $3500 tops.

You might want to look in the photo ads Oliver Schaefer has for sale a 1650 gas NF,rear wheel weights, front base weight, hydrapower for $3200 looks pretty good appears to have a
new seat.

That's about the average price on them around here with a W/F and 2 speed. I've seen them bring as much as $5800. If it's a 1 owner and as nice as it looks, you wouldn't be far off giving him what he wants. You could start at four I suppose. I'd be getting a muffler for it though and get rid of that straight pipe. I'm not a big fan of noise.

Spin out wheels are shown in the parts book. I just looked. One thing I did notice in the picture is that the wheel centers are the 9 lug type like the Hundred series used. The 50 series had extra lug bolts. The decals don't look quite right, either. Probably has been repainted.
