any you guys ever try using liquid calcium on your fields to adjust the ph level instead of using lime that you have to truck in from a quarry some say it s cheaper and works into the soil immediatly instead of having to wait six months for it to work into the soil.

There is a fair amount of "liquid lime" used in this area. As far as I know, the price is comparable to regular ground limestone, but that depends on how close one might be to a quarry, and what the freight rates in the area might be. Liquid lime is faster acting, but I am told it does not last as long as limestone. So, like many other things in life, there is a trade-off. You pay your money, and take your chances.

i wondered about that always seems to be a glich somewhere along the way.there is a company advertising it on craigslist about how much better it is to use.

Sure they talk a good story but it is astronomically more expensive to get the same acid neutralizing equivalent into your soil with the liquid calcium.
