Good deal or scam?

I came across this listing in my local CL 'farm and garden' section. Looks like a lot of tractor
for not that many bucks. Clean, loader, 4wd, low hours, cab. May be someone selling Dad's stuff.
I'm not interested in the tractor for myself, but I have a friend who might be. Just wanted to get
your reactions.

Don't know how to post the link, but here's the address:

I am pretty sure it's a scam, they always want you to reply to an email address. And the price is an odd number, I flagged it. If it's real, it will come back with a comment about being flagged.

It looks like she has the same tractor posted for $2000 less on JLA Forums in Waco Tx

Also $2000 less in Raleigh NC

Looks like a scam to me

SCAM!!!! You are not going to buy a tractor for 30-40% if its true value. So it is a scammer fishing for greedy people to bite their hook.

And the same Ford in Tulsa.

Don't see a way to mark these adds as a scam. Thought CL had a link in each post but don't see it in these adds.
Ford

Clues:

Price too low.

Title has mush mash of capital and lower case, or 'special' characters in it.

There is a lot of white space below the ad - actually it is a line of text along the right side of many words so a search picks up this ad.

There is an email address to contact, not the approved contact reply button.

The description doesn't match the picture - where is the loader?

They talk of 'papers in order' while the USA has no papers on farm equipment.

The description doesn't list anything important, generic but flowery nonsense.

Pretty much hits every single clue that it is 100% a scam.

Report these, the 'prohibited' button on top.

I did not click on the link but if it looks almost new, has extremely low price and the contact is a gmail it's a scam.

Here's how this works, you'll contact them and they will tell you the tractor is someplace else. It's already at the shipper. All you have to do is wire them the funds and they will ship the tractor to you. Generally, I mess with these scammers (when I have time) just to waste their time

Definitely a scam. There are a couple of sure signs:

When you see goofy capitalization and spelling in the title like that, the scammer is trying to avoid filters so the ad stays up longer.

When you see an email address in the clear, the scammer is using the ad to gather email addresses.

Craigslist uses a double-blind email system so that neither the buyer nor the seller get the other's real email address. This scammer wants you to by pass the double-blind system and email them directly so that they will have your real email address.

When you see ads like this, flag them as prohibited. It's the only way these people can be kept in check.

(quoted from post at 06:56:23 02/21/17) One way to find out is to contact them and see if it can me shipped by the USPS. It is a scam.

Besides trying to scam people out of money, they are also acquiring contact information, whether it be email, phone #'s, names/addresses, etc.

Once your contact info is on their lists, you may get bombarded with Scam Spam!

I always reply to craigslist ads with my gmail addy...not my main email. I am surprised that I rarely get spam on gmail. Sometimes it is just fun to play with these scammers. Here is a cool link.

As some of the other posters have said nothing about selling a tractor all they are wanting is for you to reply to that e mail. Once you do they have an address they can sell. They are all over CL and usually get flagged pretty quick but must work because they keep doing it. Called harvesting e mail addresses. They use KUBOTA and John Deer a lot but dead give away is the reply to e mail in the text of the add.
