This is what you get.....

150 each wonder just who would pay that much when it will take lots of dollars to finish them add the cost of processing and its some pretty hi priced eating

Ya'but "Sows and piglets are raised on local non-GMO grains and fresh goats milk, when the snow melts they are on pasture and live a very happy, healthy life."

They're a bargain at any price.

Neighbor has an odd breed to last i heard he
was getting 120 for just weaned piglets a
guy finished them out for a chicago market.
There's a local doctor that grazed Scottish
highlanders and he also raises I'm guessing
Tamworth and sells them to a national
restaurant company there raised on dirt
finishing pens . Traditional farmers laughed
at him but he's laughing all the way to the
bank.
The value in the old pig lines is that more
modern pig lines are not adaptable to
pasture systems also they butcher out
different . it's just an example of giving
the customer what the want.
Anyone remember hamms beer that was made in
the land of sky blue water don't know if
that made the beer taste better but i can
still remember the add.

You use inflameitory words of hippie and moved from cali. Shame on you. Due you know these people? Your just jealous that your
factory raised pigs are dirt cheap. They are a couple farms near me (NY) that raise on pasture and get premium prices. Must be
doing something right. Have been raising/advertising for several years. I would do the same thing if I had the land.

Where did I say hippie?? Yes, I know these people, I used to till their "field" when they started out "farming" in the city. They learned how to do it all from the internet...and have to use buzz words to sell. They have changed their farm name at least 3 times already...As a traditional farmer, I think that is kind of shady. People like this have to portray themselves as highly successful when actually they are barely getting by. I know another gal...all about romanticizing life on the farm. She started a CSA and had to buy most of her produce from me. I saw people rave on her FB page about her great veggies LOL! I lost track of the number of milk cows she has lost so far. She just posted the other day that she had to mark her pigs with spray paint to keep track of them, she had so many. That tells me no one is paying her prices. Maybe not in NY, but out here you eventually run out of gullible people to sell to.....

Hey, I still drink that beer! My kids youse to laugh at me for drinking it. Now they join me when I have a Hamm's.

Dad used to keep that stuff in the old can milk cooler, right down next to the ice bank. When we'd get done haying in the afternoon,us kids could split a can of it. Wow that stuff was good when it was that cold!

Yuppie hippie all the same were I live. Spray painting them I done it. Hard to tell 5 white or black and white ones apart when
they all look alike. Even feedlot places mark them that way.
BTW if you don't like them/like what they due stop involving yourself. You seem to know quite a bit about there operation.

Have you ever offered to go over and help?
I've helped a few and its very rewarding . i
have seen several sons of farmers that lost
cattle through just plain bad management a
cousin was losing calves faster than he
could get them home several people tried to
tell him he needed to change his feeding
program and he wouldn't a newbie next to me
was worried about his i drove over it was a
simple problem and he never looses calves an
Amish always has sick and dead calves its
all management. We need farmers and it
doesn't hurt to help out

Eldon some advice here: You simply need to be more tolerant!!! If I look at an ad and don't like the price I move on and do not be little the seller. Same for hippies etc. like anything some good ones and some bad ones. Also I don't get all the bashing of people on the internet face book and so on. I would bet if you met the person in a public place you would not resort to name calling etc. With me if some one has a point of view I don't like I move on. I would like to think I am a little more constructive on forums and try to look at the middle point of view, see both sides etc. FOR WHAT ITS WORTH AT A LOCAL FAIR THEY WERE GIVING PIGLETS AWAY TO KIDS (YOU HAD TO CATCH THEM).

Hey I'm just trying to be like a lot of other posters on here :D :D :D

Hamms, From the land of sky blue waters, That was a neat comercial with the bears beating there tom toms. Thanks for the memories. clint

These folks are real stupid they're getting 5X what 'real' hog farmers get for their pigs.So who is the stupid one? I used to sell all the American Guinea Hog piglets I could raise off 2 sows for $100 each and then had to
drop to $75 easiest money I ever made on hogs, went on for over 3 years.Just traded the last of them for a huge pile of Oak and Hickory firewood.I've raised ornamental pheasants that sold for
over $500 a pair and they don't eat as much as a $5 chicken.Have Swinhoes now they sell for around $200 pr. and have a waiting list. The most money in anything is made by NOT doing what everyone else does.My cattle are proving that in the last year, meat goats are way more profitable for me now than cattle.

Who could forget them comercials? Heck, I still have some old Hamm's Bear sticker's! Don't know if it's the water, just like the beer.

(quoted from post at 12:01:09 02/10/17) So is it the water? remember the bear and tom toms i can still remember that on tv

It has to do with what the bears do to the water.

Well said but most of this stuff is like a pyrmid scam great if your one of the first in it.

I'm with you on your comment Jocco, 100% for sure. I think most forums have a lot of thinking that goes along the lines of ..... "If they don't look like me, talk like me, do the same things I do, or walk like me, then there's something wrong with them". Probably all of us could be a little more tolerant, including myself at times.
