Starting evenig chores, with freezing rain

Freezing rain has been pelting down on us all afternoon, ice pellets, almost snow. Hurt like the dickens when they hit your nose. Took this picture of my son getting off the tractor into the rain.

I was just out and fed. Warm enough here to be all rain. There was a little skim of ice on everything this morning, but it's gone.

(quoted from post at 16:40:10 02/07/17) It's nice in AZ; we've had the doors open most of the afternoon.

Sunshine and blue sky all day here in Sask. too. Never got above zero (F) though. I just came in from checking the cattle and that NW breeze is just enough to be felt at -15F.

Here in Illinois we had 65 today. Going to drop all night though. Later in the week suppose to have nice weather. I don't think this is good for February.

Only critters I feed are a WHACK of small birds and a couple of squirrels. Clear, sunny and cold all day. Our major snow is melting (yaay), but it is -C's overnight and another shirtkicker of snow is on it's way (booo). What the hey, it's winter ! b

P.S. It is alleged to warm up to 8C+ on Thurs, and rain (yaay). I hope so, I wouldn't want to miss my 'Mensa' group at the Beernasium on Friday (or not stock up at the Boozarium and Library). ;^)

We got it bad here a week ago and a half ago, power was out 15 hours. Parts of NB just got it back yesterday. Supposed to snow than turn to rain and freezing rain tomorrow. We have the same blower as you. They're really tough. What model Kubota do you have?

Heard about the big power outage in the east , and wondered if you got hit. While those snow blowers are tough , like every thing , they too wear out . This one has been going thru bearings , and such this year , and I am getting annoyed with it. The tractor in the photo is my yard tractor , MX100, with the #41 loader .I also have a MX135 with the #51 loader. The MX135 looks almost the same , but it is a much more powerful tractor. Bruce

Those are nice tractors,we had an mx125 on lease a few years ago, they have good power and roomy cabs. I especially liked the 3 sided window defrosters this time of year.

Yep Bob. I'mean getting pretty tired of this weather too. I'm just not set up for extended below freezing and snow. It'seems fun for a few days, but then I remember I don't have a heated shop .

Light coating of ice here a few hours east of you that's now thawed off the vehicles, at least. No school busses today though. Did the wind get at your shed door?? Nice machine.. Stay warm
