Help me ID my new tractor

(quoted from post at 08:10:21 02/03/17) second time in a month someone buys a tractor and dont know what it is or the model number. why
Because Mr Haney of Hooterville said is was a really good deal! Sold Mr Douglas his Hoyt-Clagwell. This could be another one. (lol)

Why not? If the thing does what he needs to do for a price he likes. Not the way I'd approach the issue, but to each his own.

So let's drive the new guy off with our snide comments before he even gets started. He came asking a legitimate question. Let's wait till he gets his picture up and help the guy out.

Living on the edge! Does it really matter what model it is? it struck my fancy to be honest. as far as numbers go, on the right hand side below the seat is a plaque with these two numbers, if this helps ID it at all. 76828 and 1815

Haha good reference! I think I might be a
super A, as a saw a picture online of a
hydraulic pump setup that looks just like
mine. The pump mounts to the front of the
engine, and runs off the timing gear? It is
mounted below the distributor. Also the
distributor is horizontal, not sure if that
helps.

It has 2 PTO shafts, one straight out and one right angle. It also has 2 petcocks on the oil pan, but no dipstick that I can find. It has a 4 cylinder engine.

Here is a photo of a Super C

Hi LittleD, thanks for the help. It looks like the serial number plaque beneath the seat has the following numbers 76828 and 1815.

Would this indicate to you that it is a super C or not? I thought it had to have an FC in the beginning.

It shows you have a 1951 Farmall C
You did good on the price, considering it has wheel weights front and rear, tire chains and a loader. The wide front is a nice option and the tires seem functional. It also looks to have an aftermarket 3-point hitch.
The right angle shaft at the PTO is where the belt pulley mounts.
Have fun with your new tractor, Rich

Maybe he is like I am. If I see something that I like the looks of I will buy it. I don't really care what it is, if it looks like something I would enjoy fooling around with I get it.
