I'm 47,and been on insulin for 25 years,my feet are starting to seem to be getting more noticeable the last few years, has anyone tried the "aquasoles" inserts,i do have 3 custom fit insoles made yearly, and 1 pair of custom shoes, theyre great at first but seem to wear,im thinking the aquasoles would not show wear since theyre liquid ?????

There is a shoe store in Vincennes, Indiana that hand makes shoes for people with medical conditions. They also make insoles to fit your feet. Better have good insurance, going to cost around $500+ for shoes and insoles. Grundman shoe 812-822-4770. A friend used to have her shoes made there before she had foot surgery.

The shoe store said there weren't too many places left that make shoes the old fashion way.

My late wife suffered from neuropathy (sp?)for several years. The best relief she found was special custom made inserts inside good nice walking shoes. The inserts usually lasted about 2 years before they had to be remade because of changes to her feet and sometimes wear.

I do not have sugar but do have a lower back that doesn't like certain things like standing on concrete all day or sitting int in one place all day. I know you didn't say anything about your back but it is all related. I usually wear expensive work boots or at least I think so. Last time I went to the red wing store for boots I complained of foot and back pain. First thing he told me was you wouldn't build your house on something soft and squishy would you ? I said no. He gave me a pair of insoles and said try them. They were not soft or comfy at first but as I wore them in they got better and gave my feet the support I needed. The pair of boots I wear everyday cost almost 300 with the insoles. To me well worth the money. Point is I had foot and back issues and a soft insole wasn't the answer. Different for everyone I guess.

Two years ago I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I got special insoles and they pretty much took care of the problem. I still have a problem where by evening, if I am on my feet much, it feels like I have gravel in my shoes. I used to keep taking them off to check for pebbles in there but never find any. Anyone else have this condition?

I have just plain wore out beat up feet. The most comfortable shoes I have found are Reebok DMX max. Just a low tennis shoe type, but they have a built in air cushion insole. I had tried the slip in insoles , but they didn't want to stay in place. Worth a look. about 60 bucks a pair. If your feetsies hurt, your whole body hurts.

aggrivating ain't it, my doc reccomended certain exercises that help, mine is left foot. Some mornings you wonder if you can get going.
