1959 IH 340 Utility

I have IH 340 that has been sitting for about 5 or 6 years. I recently got it running without many problems. I have not used it, just got it running. Im about to change the hydraulic fluid due to water in it. My question is, is there anything I can put in with the hydraulic fluid and with the oil in the PTO to help soften the seals.(Lucas Oil Maybe). I did notice some fluid leaking out of the weep hole on the bottom. To my understanding this is due to a bad seal or 2 in the PTO. Im hoping with a little run time things will soften up a little. I do understand probably every seal and gasket on this thing needs to be replaced. I will eventually get to that part as time and money allow. Any advice on what I should due would greatly be appreciated. I learned to drive on this old tractor and have a lot of good memories with it. Due to my dads health he has forgotten a lot about this thing.

Seals will soften with brake fluid. Only add a SMALL amount (1 oz. or so). Try it , run the unit for a couple of hours. HTH P.S. the stuff will also destroy seals and rubber stuff. If you get the leaking to stop - stop and drain the juice and replace with new - has worked in the past. HTH

I have had fairly good luck using Lucas hydraulic system booster and sealer. About $28 / gal. haven't put any in my 340, but have used it in several other tractors [ihc 3588, white 105] with decent results. seems to seal a lot of the weeps and drips.
