CORNHEAD Grease Question

Could I use a hand pump like I use for 80-90 oil to pump out of a 5 gallon pail of CORNHEAD grease--or is it too thick????

Good question. I suppose it depends on the temp. When it's warm, it's almost too sloppy to keep in a grease gun. Dealer doesn't keep the tubes out on the rack because they will leak!

too thick I feel,, but you can turn the seal lip on the grease gun and fill it "Bulk" style,, messy but works just fill slow and keep the end under the grease in the pail to avoid getting air bubbles

old Cat dozers use 00 grade grease which is very similar to cornhead grease. Alemite makes volume grease gun units that will pump it hot or cold----unles you can find an old Cat one ---they hold around 5 gallons of grease

I have a couple old bulk grease gun fillers, those would work. Pump top for a barrel and for a 5 gallon bucket.

An oil pump, that's a good question, not sure they would draw enough.

You either have a lot of units or very bad units to worry about that kind of volume. My 1995 893 with take 2-2.5 tubes and I have only rebuilt 3.
