Hi, thinking back, about mid 50s we had a Ferguson with a little loader with forks. It operated with linkage to 3pt arms and brackets on front axle. It had a pintle type hook low between lift arms.easy to put on. The manure spreader also Ferguson had a hitch to mate up. You could load spreader, hook up go to field to unload, come back , unhook spreader, load again never getting off the tractor seat. I hauled 40 loads in a day one spring. Anyone know that setup. I think the loader was model LUO.Ed Will Oliver BC wine capital

I've seen the Ferguson loaders that went on the 3pt and loaded from the back. Dad had one of those for a while. I never saw one that loaded in front like you're describing though. It'd be interesting to see.

Google image "Ferguson manure loader" there should be several pics on there,.BTW,I have one of those 3 point manure loaders. Made by an aftermarket company. Never used it,bought at a sale for $10.00.

This is the only one I have found.

I have got part of that loader, the brackets were gone when I got it. Had been on a Ford 9N. and that is what I have. I have the book. Also had a dearborn rear mount for a while bit did not have the 9N brackets, only 8N. I also have a rear loader that is pictured in one of the ford books but they did not know what it was. The tag says Self Manufacturing co. Back in middle 40's nad borrowed one and the blacksmith made a copy of it that I loaded many a load with and still have it.

Had a couple of Ferguson's for a while and one came with a 3 point loader. Not sure if this was what you meant. It was light duty and this one had been abused. Wish I had better photos of how it hooked up to the three point.

My dad had what I believe would be the same loader on a little Ford tractor. I'm going to try to attach a YouTube link that shows the loader. Never saw the manure spreader hitch, but would have been handy. As the three point hitch came up, the linkage going forward to the loader pivoted under the rear axle of the tractor. Once the hitch reached the top of its lift, the hydraulic system bypassed to two 8 inch cylinders (one on each side just in front of the rear axle) and they retracted and raised the loader up to its full lift height.

The loader I have is a 'Self'!It'scomplete and in good shape.Doesnt use any special 'bracketry',just hook up the 3 point normally and get to work.As soon as I can buy an 8N(or similar),I going to try it out!LOL
