Average Sliding Barn Door Cost?

I'm having the guy building my shop quote me to supply and install a 25' wide 16' tall sliding door in each end wall. Was planning on doing this myself, but doing think I have the time.

Just kinda curious of any of ya'll have done this before and what you paid. If this is topic is too much of a stretch for the "tractor" forum, I apologize.

build 2 doors 12'x16' material and track 600.00 no labor

I went to a couple of auctions, and bought about 160' of used track - even had several rollers with it - for $8. Built my own door frames and had an Amish neighbor help install it.

On another building, I found a couple of huge used doors that came off a building that had been hit by a tornado. I cut the doors down to size, then installed them - cost about $50.

Point is - look around for the hardware and track - that's the expensive part....

Oh yeah...quite a stretch. ONE 25' x 16' door? You will be a lot happier with two doors in the long run.

Sorry for not being clear, the 25'x16' is just the size of the opening. There would be two doors for one opening, each slidding to the side.
