John Deere MT

I've got an MT and just noticed the front tires are off-set. I guess that is normal? Also where are the grease fittings for the front tower. I found only one on the very top. Thanks...

They were offset for use with scufflers to cultivate weeds out from between row crops.
As neat as the MT is. If you ever have an oportunity for a slant steer 420 loaded up with factory options, buy it.

Take s look at the diagram below.

Note the 1/4" square head pipe plug (Key 10).

Take a look at the photos below of the "[i:654c4848f0]steering gear filler plug[/i:654c4848f0]".

The steering was offset so the engine could be cranked straight in by hand. It was just enough to get the hand crank in. I don't remember having a grease fitting either high or low on the MT that I had,,,,,

Thanks for the information. What type oil goes in housing? Also, how hard is it to work on the brakes?

Yes,thanks, got me motivated to work on it. Previous owner made a three point hitch, but only goes up to level, can't see how it would pick up an implement high enough to use. Also what oil goes in hydraulic? Thanks again..

The operator's manual recommends SAE 10W.
