Ford 611 Combine

I also have a like new 1959 second owner 611 with a 10 foot platform and Heston chopper. I was surprised to see the interest in the combine that brought over $9300. Mine also has been used on few acres and also should be in a museum. It was built by Oliver too and has a Ford motor. I tried to find a 2 row corn head but could locate one. Does anyone know of a cornhead that might be available? I believe mine was made in Canada by Oliver but Oliver 40 had its own Oliver engine.

The 611's were the same as an Oliver Model 25 with the exception, as you have said, that the 611 used a Ford engine. They would have been some of the last combines to come out of the Battle Creek plant before production was shifted to the Brantford Ontario plant. They used a Model 12 corn head and they are very hard to find in any kind of shape. I know of 2 of them (one of which is on another 611) sitting in a junk yard in Mishawaka Indiana but they are pretty rough.

Do you have any pictures of your 611 Ford?Heres mine the day it
was purchased in Dec 2006 at St Joseph,KS 300 miles away..Only
one new 611 was ever sold new in my area and its long gone...I have
never seen a corn head for a 611 Ford or 25 Oliver..

Fords corn head was designed using the heads of the 2 row picker. It looks like they used the front part of a picker and turned them into a corn head. Ive got a parts book on the corn head Ill try to post a picture later today. I figured if I ever found a 611, which I want one badly, I could build a corn head using a picker. It would take a ton of work but I think it could be done.

I checked the serial #2608, component 17-1 /611.Is equipped / factory pickup real/single straw spreader, chopper, original tires. Bought new near London Ohio.Neighbor sold to me 20 us ago. I've cut oats, wheat, soybeans. Never rained on, in my shop north of Champaign Illinois

This is what you are referring to. It looks very similar to a New Idea picker. I have what appears to be a very good corn head with a very worn out combine.
