Anybody use ISO-Heet in your hydraulic system?

Sister's 606 loader is real jerky just like a few years ago when there was some ice in the filter. I changed the fluid and filter in December of 2014 and tractor maybe has 20hrs on it since. Don't really want to drain the whole system again so was going to change filter again and maybe add a bottle or two of Heet. Didn't know what that might do to the system though and don't want to damage anything!

when its real cold 0 or colder will use Isopropyl rubbing alcohol 91% in my snow plow pump on front of my trucks to keep from freezing

Alcohol is hard on aluminum and washes oil off metal so do not over do it and I would change the filter soon after to see if it caught the water it may break loose. Hope it works out for you it may be better to start with a filter change if that does not work then try the alcohol and change the filter again when it clears up.

I wouldn't add too much, maybe one bottle.

Chances are it won't stay there for long, once up to operating temp it will evaporate.

Question is, will it take the water with it when it does?
