Has a new agriculture secretary been chosen?

Im from the great white north, and i try to stay on top of things,( i watch CNN every morning), but have not heard the name of the new agriculture secretary? Has someone been picked for the job?
 
Does anyone in that bunch even know what agriculture is? I've never heard any one of them mention it.
 
LOL. I was gonna say that,but I'm too famous for my dislike of him. Eventually somebody's gonna tell him there's a sec of ag and the position needs to be filled. He'll tell them to throw some names in one of his stupid red hats and pull one out,that's how much he cares.
 
The Secretary of Agriculture has not been named yet.

Sonny Perdue (ex gov of Georgia) seems to be the leading candidate at the moment.

Stay tuned.

Do you remember the political cartoon of Wally Hickel running along behind Nixon and the rest of his cabinet,pulling up his pants,after Nixon named him Secretary of the Interior? This'll be the same thing. LOL

I'm so sorry your criminal candidate didn't get elected, but rruln can't you give him a chance. Markets seem to like him. What do ya think?

I didn't know Gary Johnson was a criminal,or John Kasich if you want to go back to the primaries. I'm not voting for somebody who's certifiably insane just because the party I've been a member of all my life tells me I have to. I don't "have to",I have a mind of my own.
 
Johnson says he smokes pot every day last I heard it was against Federal Law.Said he was going to quit of he was elected but too late it was obvious the damage was already done.
 
Well,it worked for the opponents husband and he was elected. Oh wait. He didn't inhale. That makes it legal. My mistake.
 
Ya,they've been running a crawl on RFD TV. Better leave them parked in DC when you're done so you can go back for the 70s style protest in a few months when we get a taste of what's coming.
 
I knew there was a reason I liked you! This was a race to vote against a candidate rather than for a candidate. Either of the big names would have been hard on those of us that make a living off the land. I guess we are all in for the ride regardless of how it turns out.
 
Interesting thing, that is the license plate for my motorcycle.

No one has commented on it yet when I stop.
 
Last I heard Sarah Palin's name was being floating around for heading Veterans Affairs.
 
There probably are not too many people under fifty that recognize "BR-549". Did you request it as a vanity plate or was it assigned to you randomly?
 
I've been hoping Donald will call. Prolly the only way I could make serious money in agriculture. If you want to stay on top of things...turn off CNN.
 
I can't understand why people think a guy who has made billions and created thousands of jobs is an idiot. Will he be the best we ever had? Dunno, he hasn't even gotten in office. But he has to be better than the last several we had in there that had little to absolutely no "real world" experience. The others had just been sucking off the taxpayers nearly their entire life. So how about the little left wingers quit the "Chicken Little" routine and hope for the best.
 
Mine is the 549, made me chuckle, no one else has caught it.

Maybe no other farmers driving BMW's.

This is all about trolling and nothing else. Ain't any of em done anything but bash hoping to get people angry. I'm with you. Give the guy a chance to mess then jump him. I had hope the last guy would do a good job when he was first elected. I am been greatly disappointed! I hope the new one does a good job but again, I may be disappointed, don't know yet.

I think she's as smart as most other people, but that's not whats needed. Whats needed is people that will cut though the crap and politics and tell it like it is. The VA should not be an afterthought after an afterthought after we get done naming bridges to nowhere after politicians. You don't have to be brilliant to be effective in gov't, but you do need to have some backbone and character. The professional bureaucrats can keep the wheels turning, but someone has to drive the bus and get it headed in the right direction.
