Ford/New Holland question

We have a T-6 165 NH and at the time we priced up I think it was a Case MX-125 and they had the same powertrain

Neighbors have a case 225 magnum and pula I think the puma was the English version they're just a couple years old but when they changed the fluid filters on the one there still was some blue paint on it

I don't think any of the NH or CIH tractors follow any of the old IH or Ford designs . They seem to me to be completely different tractors to any thing that was built and badged IH or Ford , even the colours are not the same

Not sure about Case but the -030 and -040 series where the last models that where Ford designed tractors, a few others used the Power Star engine but most all where changed to Fiat design.

Both Ford/NH and Case/Ih are now Fiat tractors painted blue or red. Nothing like the old fords or IH left in either brand.. The under 40 HP for both brands are made by what ever vendor that will do it cheaper.

Yep the 100 HP NH tractors have almost an identical block to my 1973 Fiat built 55 HP Oliver 1365 according to the NH mechanic that worked on my 1365.Thats a good thing in my opinion.Who
else makes a tractor these days with a block that strong and durable?

fiat sold the genesis line to versatile some time back ,that was the last of the ford designed tractors and a very good one IMHO as far as caseih I don't know. I do know they sold versatile to buhler and opted to keep the CASEIH-stieger four wheel drives. but I digress they are all the same just different paint as others have said.

Was baling hay two years ago and the 6610's ac quit, was also having some overheating issues so I rented a NH T6050 for a day to finish baling.
The T6050 had a 6.7 Cummins engine but everything else was Fiat.

Cab was quite and comfortable and it had more power than I needed, that's the only good things I can say about it.
I was on crutches so my nephew operated it, after he'd got the electronic shift figured out somewhat he was wanting me to trade the 6610 in for the T6050.
At the end of the day he was ready to take it back and work on the 6610.
It also used twice as much fuel as the 6610.

I know the New Holland Boomer series was the same as the Case DX series compacts about 10 years ago. Not sure if they are the same now or when they started being the same.

If you look at the basic design of the new larger Massey tractors they look identical to the Case versions but not sure of what models cross, just a from the truck window observation.

Most of the lineage for Ford, IH, Case and Fiat are all gone from the tractors today. It's just a newer design evolution from what I see. I know there are still some Ford components in the value line tractors... ie the 4 cylinder double reduction axles and crash box transmission with their respective layouts. They've got whatever engine they have on the go today which is Iveco derived. All of the smaller IH lineage went to McCormick at the time of the Case/NewHolland merger.
I'm not really sure what became of the Maxxum/Magnum range but I suspect it has continued on in what you see today to some degree.
