stuttering hydraulics

Hi out there. Having a slight dilema with my loader controls. When I lift my boom it stutters and raises slowly. My fluid level seems to be there. In the 5500 hrs I have not done any service to the hydraulics. Could this mean perhaps new filters could be needed. Poor design requires me to remove the subframe of the loader to get at the filters

Make, model and type of machine would be most helpful to diagnose your problem. Easily overlooked because it is obvious to you. It is but a mystery to us. Thanks! and welcome to YT.

If you have a pioneer coupler in the hydraulic line you might try replacing both couplers. Had a bad coupler on a tractor years ago with hyd shuddering. Took a long time to figure out it was the coupler.

On the 460 we used to have. Filters were a real bear to change. BUT we also had a problem with water in the system. Same as you have described. Stuck a couple of chick heater lamps under the belly till things got thawed out and then could drain it.

bad filters or air being pulled in to the system on the suction side first i would change filters if you have water in system ice crystals will plug filter or screen on suction side
