Help with identifying mower!!

I have a self propelled push mower that I need help finding out more information on. I know you can read the serial number An tell the year of production an it appears to be a 1974 model. It's red deck with a white B&S 5hp engine and big spoked wheels. It's in pretty decent shape considering the age it appears to be. The name on it is "White's" but when I try googling it or anything I see nothing similar.

If anyone could provide some knowledge or direct me where I could find out anything else that'd be greatly appreciated!

Many store-brand mowers were made by MTD. Including, it seems, those for White Outdoor stores.

Slightly OT. You reminded me of times past. In growing up we had a St. Augustine-grass lawn but had a few Dallis Grass clumps with the long,
tough stem and gooey seed pods. We had such a reel type power mower as I think you are describing where you lift the handle and the drive
belt tightened and away you went. It did a golf course job on the St. A. but left the stems of the Dallis. That's where I developed a fondness for
the rotary that is popular today. It cut everything.

It's in pretty decent condition as far as looks and runs and cuts just fine! I just can't seem to find anything on it
