I recently bought a set of duals and hubs for my JD 4440, but the lug bolts are missing. What size lug bolts do I need and where do I get them? The hub number is 81EM20 and they are 9-bolt hubs that fit axle width 3 5/8". Thanks.

Where can I find these bolts? I am having a hard time finding them. Does John Deere have them? If so, what is the part number? Sorry for all the questions.

No I did not. I was wondering about that also. I have seen them for sale and was wondering if it would be a good thing to get. The bolt holes on the rims are a little rounded out. How is the ring attached? Welded? If so, do you have to do anything special like remove the tires? Do you have pictures of your with the rings? Sorry again for all the questions.

Bill,
The ring just goes on over the hub and the bolts hold it in place. It helps hold the bolts from wollowing around and egging out the holes in the rim. JD should have that also, P/N R54983 or maybe a salvage yard might also. Torque on the wheel bolts is 300 ft-lb. They're grade 8 bolts so don't worry about snapping them. I've got an AirCat 1/2" air impact that works well. No special things to remove outside dual (I have to do it every spring to plow since I've got an in-furrow semi-mount plow), just jack it up to where outside dual is just clear of ground, loosen bolts and slide it off.
Hope this helps.
