Just south of me on the side of the road. Note taped on the door said broke down. Potato digger?

Apparently a break down that let him get it off the road.
That seems to be a lucky "break".
It could be an expensive tow bill otherwise.
 
Whatever it is, it looks to be made to harvest some kind of root crop. Potatoes, carrots, turnips, or something like that. Just my guess from the pictures. Too darn big for my road, it would block everything.
 
It's different than any potato digger than I've ever seen but Google says it's a Lenco digger manufactured in Michigan. All you see in these parts is Allen,Grimmie,Lockwood,LL,and Spudnic. It looks like a nice unit.
 
I really don't think anyone would spend 5 cents to build something to dig turnips! Maybe for deer food, but the ones I planted this year that I put out back for the deer were ignored. Just out back looking at them today...

Closely compare the last two photos - looks like the Right Front wheel appears to be missing. Note how frame is on the ground on that corner.

Ya,they're on Crystal road just south of Vestaburg. If you ever drove by there,you wouldn't believe they build such mammoth machines in those two small buildings.
