Lots of Mayberry fans on here- They're airing an Andy Griffith marathon on Sundance TV- channel 126 on Dish, don't know about the others. Season 1 Episode 1 is on right now- Aunt Bea just arrived, and Opie is a little owly about it.

Enjoy watching reruns of that show. A few days ago one aired in which Andy used Barney's middle name for the only time that I can recall, anyone know what it was? Show involved a town tribute to a prior Mayberryian that Barney was attempting to relate to.

I enjoy watching old Barney. There was one of the later episode in color on a while back. In the scene there were in the drug store. On the shelf behind the counter was an Allis Chalmers D-17 toy tractor. Being a toy collector that caught my eye. There is one episode where the farmer is disking with his 8n Ford. I think those are the only two episodes that have any tractors.

I still like to watch reruns of the Andy Griffith Show, although I remember my interest fading when black-and-white became color, Opie lost his little-kid cute, Barney left and that other Dufus deputy came aboard. And I must admit to having my respect for the real-life Andy Griffith tarnished when he signed on as a huckster for external_linkcare as it was being pushed through. Anybody remember those TV promotions?

No, there was an episode when Andy wanted Sam Jones to run for City Council. He went to his farm to find Sam working on one of his farm tractors. There was also an episode on Sam's farm when an Italian immigrant family comes to work, and one of his tractors get driven through a barn door. Anyone remember these episodes and what model Ford tractors they were?

Two shows every weeknight on broadcast (air) on digital 26-2 based out of Green Bay, Wi at 7pm central. Sure see the same ones every once in awhile, but still better then newer shows. Station network called "Me-TV", not sure local or national thing..

On a side note back in spring played with the alumni band and one piece was "hooked on TV reruns"...MASH, Gilligan island,Gomer Pyle, Taxi....(can't recall rest). Conductor said something about some new show, I said I don't know I just turn on the retro channel and relax.

Sam Becker was disking with the Ford 8n,,later that night Andy delivered Sam Beckers wifes baby boy.The Beckers named him Andy.

If I remember right the first episode did not have Barney in it. When he saw it he talked to Andy and told him he needed a Deputy and got the spot.

Andy called him Bernard OLIVER Fife. Barney was trying to relate to a Phyffe when this conversation ensued.
