That open windshield reminds me of a time back around 70 years ago. My dad had a 1944 (war baby) Dodge 1-1/2 ton Dodge truck. It had no heater. One very cold morning I and my brother rode along with Dad taking a load of hogs to the Cincinnati stockyards. With three of us in the cab the windows and windshield frosted up badly. So, Dad's solution? Open the windshield! It did evaporate the frost, but it surely didn't warm up the cab!
