after reading r rlunds post about his gate vibrating ,. and everyone elses experience with such oddities,,. I present a discovery of my own , when using my 188 diesel 430s and530 Case's I have noticed that if I place the top link pins in from the left side,.. clutch side through to brakeside , if a hasp is not available ,, or will not accept a fastener because it is a raunchy piece of trash pin . the pin will most likely remain in place almost magnetized ,..however if it is installed the opposite from the right to left ,, the pin will very likely rattle vibrate out,. there are many exceptions of course ,,. and most times I do use a hairpin hasp or something on my top link pins , however if I find nuthin available , I have learned to go left to right with the pin ,... no doubt the cause is the harmonic vibration of all moving parts,,. particuly the engine .. has anyone else discovered this on other makes and models ??

I built a larger set of fenders for my M. Welded up out of 1/4 inch steel with extra bracing where the fenders bolt to the axle. The left fender sets up an unusual vibration. It quits if I put my hand on it. I put rubber washers between the fender and the axle, didn't work. I re welded all welds, didn't work. I clamped c-clamps in various places, didn't work. I finally gave up, can't figure it out!!! Ellis

Cooling tower (big) fans have harmonic speeds that are not to be run at, most VFD's can be programed to avoid certain speeds, so they will either move above or below that speed.

When I put an insulated cup without a handle in the cup holder in one of my field tractors it always turns so the sipping hole in the lid is about in the 10:00 position. When I pick it up I have to rotate the cup to get a swig out of it. Not so bad during the day but a good way to pour coffee down your front in the dark.

Screw a rubber flap, cut from a tire sidewall, to it near the top with about 6 inches of rubber free to vibrate (clamping it on first can help assign it to a location). Jim

I built a cab around the roll cage of my Terramite. You wouldn't think that all the vibrations of the tractor were transferred to the cage and made the metal cab vibrate so loud I couldn't stand it, so I removed the cab.
